Apparently that guy who did the whole Microsoft re-branding thing on his own actually got hired.
I loved the science-fiction approach. I’ll probably use it for my own megalomaniac future projects.

That said, I think he went too far in with the cute marketing direction. Sometimes people do NOT want sleek things, i.e. Apple. They might even miss the friendly Microsoft clutter.

Not everybody has a “taste” in things. Usability is all that matters. Technology and agression towards the future will scare off a good chunk of potential customers. Then again – I’m all in and up for it.
